TaiQuia Warren, LMSW (CT), is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Open Arms Community Inc. and a nonprofit and social work leader with more than 17 years of experience supporting transition-age youth and young adults across foster care, juvenile justice, child welfare, and underserved communities. A graduate of Fordham University with a Master of Social Work, TaiQuia advanced from direct-service practice into senior leadership, including serving as a Director of Foster Care.
Throughout her career, TaiQuia identified a recurring challenge: young people were often expected to navigate education, employment, emotional well-being, and the transition to adulthood through disconnected systems of support. She founded Open Arms Community Inc. to help close those gaps through a human-centered, trauma-informed approach that meets young people where they are and surrounds them with consistent guidance and opportunity. Her Pathway to Adulthood (P2A) model brings together individualized support, practical preparation, and strategic community partnerships to help young people build more stable and independent futures.
TaiQuia’s leadership also extends into hands-on community impact through outreach initiatives, resource access, family engagement, and partnerships that connect young people and families to meaningful opportunities and support. She is also the author of The Art of Life: There’s Beauty in Self-Discovery. Her work is grounded in a belief that a young person’s circumstances should never determine the limits of their future, and that lasting change begins when young people are consistently seen, supported, and given the opportunity to move forward.
